The Genesis SMART automotive diagnostic scan tool is the advanced successor to GDS Mobile. Genesis SMART also known as the Genesis GDS kit, is the dealer-level OEM automotive diagnostic tool. The kit comes with the new Genesis VCI III interface, providing technicians with DTC analysis, module programming, and ADAS Calibration much faster than previous model interface. In addition, the SMART tablet comes with an inbuilt service information, wiring diagrams, and technical service bulletins that technicians can access at any time. The kit comes with a rugged carry case.
The robust Genesis GDS SMART runs on an Android Samsung Tab Active5 Pro rugged tablet with online updates. This is the only OEM diagnostic tool for comprehensive coverage on all Genesis vehicles sold in North America, including new electric vehicles. It is the same scan tool used in Genesis dealerships.

A: Coverage includes all current Genesis models, including the latest model year vehicles just released from the factory.
Q: What other benefits does it provide?
A: The system includes full access to Genesis' factory service information, repair manuals, wiring diagrams, technical service bulletins, and diagnostic procedures. Exactly the same resources available to dealer technicians.
Q: What is the warranty coverage?
A: As an Authorized Hyundai Kia Genesis distributor, we provide factory 3-year warranty for the tool. Active licenses required and warranty does not cover accidental damage, misuse, or abuse.
Q: How are software updates handled?
A: Updates are delivered online directly from Genesis' servers. The system checks automatically and applies updates several times per week. Frequent updates are required to maintain compatibility with the latest vehicles and functions.
Q: Can it perform immobilizer and key programming functions?
A: Yes. Immobilizer, key programming, and PIN code functions are supported when used with a valid NASTF VSP account. A per-vehicle key code fee may apply.
Q: Can it perform ADAS calibrations?
A: Yes. It supports all factory spec ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations according to Genesis manufacturer specifications.
Q: What is included with the subscription license?
A: The package includes a 1-year Genesis GDS SMART software license. After the first year, the license can be renewed annually at a cost of $1,680.
